A timeless post! To kick off #NationalPizzaWeek correctly, we must start with the best Italian ingredients. Outside of Italy, Arthur Avenue in The Bronx is the best place to go! Pictured is only a small portion of our haul from Mike’s Deli (mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, two more sausages, wine not pictured).
The experience inspired Pietro Mascagni “Intermezzo” from the opera “Cavallerni Rusticana” because, for me, this piece smells like Italian food on #cello (finally!)
