The DOC delle Venezie denomination is the first Italian multiregional DOC, which brings together the operators in the Pinot Grigio DOC production chain of Veneto, Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Autonomous Province of Trento.

In the video you will see wineries from:
Veneto: Bosco dei Cirmioli, Enoitalia, Cantina di Monteforte, Vitevis, Botter and MGM Mondo del Vino;
Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia: Bidoli, Piera 1899; Autonomous Province of Trento: Casa Girelli.

The Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC Consortium was born in 2017, replacing the pre-existing Typical Geographical Indication (IGT), to create an identity for the Pinot Grigio variety and wine, but above all to protect, strengthen and approach international markets in a coordinated way, defining the style of
Pinot Grigio DOC and promoting its image throughout the World.

This multi-regional Appellation is the result of the history and the culture of women and men who have built day by day the great “Triveneto vineyard” that has all along featured the perfect conditions to grow the Pinot Grigio, the unique grape which is today an international symbol of traditional Italian winemaking.

The North East Italy is a huge amphitheatre which harbours a wide range of diversity and extraordinary terroirs where the vine is rooted: starting from the Dolomites to the north and Lake Garda up to the Lagoon of Venice, the Adriatic Sea and the beautiful hills of Collio. And here, more than any other Italian wine region, the Pinot Grigio is able to express its very best, offering different nuances of scents and flavours depending on the specific micro-areas, but, at the same time, all united by their incredible versatility, easy-drinking approach, freshness and minerality. These qualities have easily helped to seduce all over the world consumers: today Pinot Grigio represents
the main exported Italian grape variety.
