RECIPE

Ingredients:

2 ounces goat cheese
2 ounces mascarpone cheese
1/4 cup chopped basil leaves
14 Medjool dates, pitted
7 thin slices of prosciutto, cut lengthwise
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

In a small bowl, mix together the cheeses and basil, and season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Slice dates lengthwise and fill with approximately 1 teaspoon of filling. Close the date and wrap with prosciutto, using a toothpick to secure.

Arrange dates on a platter and serve.
