For chicken marination

Ingredients

⁃ boneless chicken thigh – 1 kg
⁃ Tikka sauce (mother’s recipe) 2 tablespoon
⁃ Salt to taste (lesser)
⁃ Red chilli powder to taste
⁃ Coriander powder- 2 tablespoon
⁃ Ginger garlic paste – 2 heaps tablespoon
⁃ Garam masala – 1 teaspoon

Method
⁃ in a bowl add the sliced chicken thighs
⁃ Add tikka paste , ginger garlic paste and all the masalas and mix well
⁃ Marinate it for an hour or more

To make chicken tikka

Ingredients
⁃ onion – finely chopped -4 medium
⁃ Tomato (500 gms)
⁃ Capsicum – 2 medium chopped
⁃ Fresh Cream 100ml
⁃ Oil – 2 tablespoons
⁃ Cumin seeds
⁃ Salt to taste
⁃ Coriander powder to taste
⁃ Red chilli powder to taste
⁃ Turmeric – 1/4 teaspoon

Method
⁃ in a pan heat some oil
⁃ Once hot add cumin seeds
⁃ Add chopped onions
⁃ Cook them till golden brown
⁃ Add puréed tomato
⁃ Cook it till oil separates
⁃ Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt to taste
⁃ Add marinated chicken and cook on slow flame for 5-6 mins
⁃ Add capsicum cover and cook on slow flame until chicken in soft and cooked
⁃ Add cream slowly on high flame
⁃ Keep aside

To assemble lasagne

Ingredients
⁃ Lasagne sheets – 1 pack
⁃ White sauce – 4-5 table spoon or as per taste
⁃ Fresh coriander – chopped
⁃ Ginger- chopped in julienne
⁃ Grated cheese as per taste
⁃ Butter to grease the tray

Method
⁃ Grease a large baking tray with butter
⁃ Spread slices of lasagne sheets at the bottom of the tray
⁃ Add a layer of chicken tikka gravy
⁃ Add some white sauce
⁃ Add ginger and cheese
⁃ Add fresh coriander
⁃ Add another layer of lasagne sheet
⁃ Repeat the layering process 2 more times
⁃ Tip- we add more cheese to the last layer to help browning at the top
⁃ Cover the tray with a foil
⁃ Put it in a 180 degree preheated oven for 10 mins covered
⁃ Bake for another 5-7 mins uncovered
⁃ Cut into small slices to serve
