Mac ‘n’ Cheese | Italian Recipe
Ingredients :
– 1 1⁄2 cups elbow macaroni
– 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
– 2 cups milk
– 1⁄2 tsp salt
– 1⁄2 tsp pepper
– 3 tbsp olive oil
– 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
– 1 cup red cheddar cheese (shredded)
– Butter for grease
– Water as needed
Method :
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. (175°C)
2. In a pot, add macaroni, water, salt, and olive oil.
3. Boil macaroni until well cooked.
4. When the pasta is almost done, drain it.
5. In a pot, add the flour, and stir over medium heat until the flour turns light brown.
6. Add the milk, salt, and pepper. Whisk until no lumps are formed.
7. Cook over medium-high heat until the sauce thickens and starts to bubble.
8. Turn off the heat, add the cheese. Stir the cheese until smooth and melted.
9. Stir the macaroni into the sauce and mix well.
10. Grease the baking dish with butter.
11. Put the macaroni into the greased baking dish.
12. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until browned and bubbly.
13. Ready to serve.
