Prosecco bottles were first produced in the town of Prosecco (Northeastern Italy). This is a beautiful area known for its rustic countryside, steep hills and lush greenery. The climate here is very suitable for growing a new only Italian grape – called Glera – the main raw material for the production of Prosecco. That’s why people took the town name as the name of the wine. Prosecco wine production is currently expanding to many other regions of Italy.
