Recipient of the best outdoor restaurant in DXB, an Italian kitchen with 360° view thriving in Palm Jumeirah.
An absolute charismatic waterfront facing arrangement, designed to be enchanted with all time promising beauty of DXB.
Kicked off with two Mocktails; Dolcetto – Berries infused with Lemon and Mint.
Zenzero Frizzante – Ginger ale, Raspberry and Lemon.
We were also offered complimentary two other Mocktails around the finishing of our meal;
Coccobello – Coco puree, Pineapple, Lavender and Cucumber
And a regular Pina Colada.
As starter we opted the very Italian Burrata Classica (a very creamy inside and firm outside ball shaped Cheese) with grilled Tomatoes and Olive oil along with Arancino (deep Fried Rice containing Truffle, Cheese, Potatoes, Mushrooms and few herbs). Both were mouthwatering and rich in taste.
Moving to main, we ordered together Spaghetti Carbonara – Spaghetti, egg yolk and parmesan topped with toasted wheel beef bacon chunks. It might seems like a common Spaghetti but honestly the cream covered Spaghetti layers topped with bacon chunks made by a dedicated Italian chef is something very traditional and simple to go for and you would adore the experience.
And Risotto Di Frutti Di Mare – Rice, Squids, Shrimps, Mussels blended with Marinara sauce. A very sea based Risotto which resembles a lot to all time Porridge with same consistency, the only difference is the rice used are of a special Italian variety.
Both of these were well cooked and served timely.
In dessert we tried Dolci – Tiramisu which was a regular Tiramisu you could find anywhere.
My experience of Italian cuisine at Il Faro is by far the best Italian food I have ever had. Over all it’s a yes-yes.
The team is fully attentive to your customised demands and not even a single time we waited for our orders.
They also allow us to switch our sitting to four chairs table (keeping in view we were only two persons) considering we were excited to have a better view of 360°.
Amazed with how one restaurant could be so bright in every aspect.
A 9.5 out of 10.
