Made in Italy, authentic tomato sauce for zest and his croissants. I edit at the minimum so you can see and hear all of my bloopers. If you have suggestions just let me know. It’s my first video so I may miss things. This makes things a lot more intimate. Ingredients and recipe are listed below:
3lbs 12 oz tomatoes
8 cloves garlic split
1 onion
3 shallots
2 tbls tomato paste
2 tsp oregano
1 cup fresh basil
4 tsp olive oil (EVOO)
Bring water in a pot to boil.
Cut crosses through the skin of the tomato’s.
Blanch tomatoes to remove skin.
Brown onion and shallot with EVOO at med temperature
.
Add garlic and tomato paste.
Cook till amber/red and coats onion shallot and garlic.
Add tomatoes and crush.
Add oregano bring down to simmer.
Cover for 2 hours.
Add basil 10 mins before done simmering.
Cool before storing.
