Rome restaurant terraces were packed with customers on Sunday, the day before the Italian capital and multiple regions were expected to enter a ‘red zone’ lockdown.
Romans were seen having lunch at numerous al fresco eateries and walking around the Italian capital.
All of Italy’s regions became a ‘red zone’ on Easter weekend from April 3 to 5, according to Italian media reports.
The country has registered more than 3.2 million cases of COVID-19 and 102,145 related deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.
