Making filet steak tartare is really easy to do at home, in this video Piero shows you how to make it from scratch. Steak tartare history is one of the oldest dishes known today, it is known that the Mongol warriors has them tenderizing meat under their saddles then eating it raw. It is believed that the dish was popularized in Paris.

Ingredients:
– Filet steak (how ever much you want)
– Anchovies
– Capers
– Lemon
– Salt and Pepper
– Extra virgin olive oil

Method:
Slice up the filet steak into strips, then continue to slice it into very thin pieces, almost like you’re hand mincing it. Once this is done slice the lemon and squeeze out the lemon juice. Put the anchovies and capers in with the meat & add some salt, mix around a bit then add some lemon juice. continue to slice and dice and mix together. Add a bit more salt and pepper to taste. Add a bit more olive oil and it’s done. Put in a mold and bang it out to create a nice centerpiece with it.
