Thursday, March 11 @ 3 p.m. – Paso’s Heritage Varietal: Zinfandel
Much of Paso’s history is rooted in Zinfandel with much of the first vines planted by Italian immigrants in the early 1900s. Wine is a defining beverage to the Italian culture and Zinfandel was much like their native Primitivo. As Paso’s trajectory as a wine region continued to rise, much of the world came to associate the region with Zinfandel, especially because many producers in the late 80s and early 90s specialized in Zinfandel. Today we talk everything Zin with three producers who have come to be known as specialists in the world of Zinfandel at different times over Paso’s rise in popularity.

Chris Rougeot – Opolo Vineyards
Kip Lorenzetti – Chronic Cellars
Chuck Mulligan – Harmony Cellars
Hosted by Christopher Taranto, Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance
