홈술•혼술에 작년 와인 수입 사상 최대…1위 칠레산
South Korea’s wine imports reached a record high in 2020 as more people drank at home, or alone, due to pandemic-induced social distancing measures.
According to data by the Korea Customs Service, South Korea imported over 54-thousand tons of wine last year, up almost 24-point-5 percent from a year earlier.
The value of imported wine also jumped over 27 percent to 330 million U.S. dollars.
Chile was the top exporter of wine to South Korea with more than a quarter of the total, followed by Spain, Italy, and France.
