Lover of: California Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (Sonoma/Russian River)… and a decent Merlot; Red and white Burgundy, especially Puligny de Montrachet; Left Bank Bordeaux for a wine of occasion; exploring value and quality in Graves and Pessac Leognan; Zero Dosage or Blancs des Blancs Chlagne styles… Bruno Paillard and Ruinart are wonderful; Northern Italian wine, Amarone for sure, and just about anything from Gaja; and the occasional Sauternes (D’Yuem). Very rarely do I buy from Spain, but whenever I do, better quality Riojas can be nice. For Australian wine, Tim Mayo is nice, but generally I find wines from the country overpriced nowadays, even when visiting direct at the vineyards near Melbourne.
For New Zealand, but knowledge is limited, so can only say I enjoy Cloudy Bay. All photos my own.
