For over 100 years, our guests today, Roberto Bava and Edoardo Cavagnino, have sought excellence in the cold pastry and wine sectors, creating iconic products of our territory. Let’s talk to them about quality, tradition but also about the future.

Roberto Bava is part of the fourth generation running the family winery. Bava wines are born in the Piedmont hills, between Monferrato and Langhe, and represent the excellence of Italian wines.
They are a high-end product and one of the greatest pride of our territory and of Made in Italy. The history of the Bava family is that of the Italian wine tradition: it originates in 1911, when the Cocconato winery was built. Bava wines are the result of Italian tradition and heritage: four generations have come and gone since the foundation of the winery in Strada Monferrato in Cocconato and a fifth is coming to the helm of the company. Today the family property extends between Monferrato and the Langhe with fifty hectares of vineyards cultivated with the same sensitivity and care as in the past, for sustainable agriculture with a reduced environmental impact.

Edoardo Cavagnino is President of Gelati PEPINO 1884 and represents the fifth generation at the helm of the company. The Pepino company has been producing high quality gelato since 1884 in Turin. In over a century of life it has established itself as an ambassador of the great cold pastry among the most important palates in Europe. In 1939 the company invents and patents the famous “Pinguino®”, the first ice cream in the world on a stick covered with chocolate (patent No. 58033), produced in 5 flavors. The pride of the Pepino brand is the historic “Gelateria Pepino” in Piazza Carignano in the heart of Turin, the square that saw the birth of Italy. The place has established itself not only in the sale of gelato but also in restaurant services, aperitifs, breakfasts and catering.
