I got a bit confused on the video but the Montelpulciano grape generally produces moderate alcohol and high tannin wines (tannins need to be controlled). I also made a mistake about market share: 70% of their wines are exported and 30% are distributed inside Italy. I said they have a 30% market share in the US for Italian wines, which is incorrect. I thought I read somewhere they have a huge market share in the US but I can’t find that statistic again.
