We absolutely love this recipe! Its so easy and doesn’t take nearly as long as you would think! Check out the recipe below:
Ingredients:
– 12 Oz Dried Penne Paste
– 2 teaspoons olive oil
– 1 Lb mild Italian Sausage
– 1/2 cup chopped onion
– 2 cloves garlic
– 1/2 cup white wine
– 1 (15oz) can tomato sauce
– 1 (14.5oz) can diced tomatoes
– 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook pasta according to directions on package.
2) Heat oil in a large pan, this is the pan your sauce will be made in. Place sausage and onion in skillet and cook over medium high heat until browned. Add minced garlic and let cook for an additional minute. Drain excess fat. Pour in the wine and cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously to deglaze the pan. Stir in tomato paste, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain pasta and mix with sauce. Place mixture in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Add mozzarella over the top in an even layer.
3) Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
