Wine for Beginners (Season 3 Episode 3)
Have you tried to like wine but it just doesn’t seem to be your thing? Destiny, Nat and Ty give you the best suggestions for wine beginners who are starting to appreciate the full, lush, and luxurious feeling wine can give alone. You don’t have to be a sommelier or an aficionado to enjoy what the trio has to offer. If you want to join in the on the fun, you will need:
19 Crimes: Cali Red ($11 – $14) – a California red blend that is just sweet enough to pass for a dry wine. With Snoop Dogg on the cover, you simply cannot go wrong!
Josh: Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (Bourbon Barrel) ($18 – $22) – this is an upgraded version of Josh’s usual Cabernet Sauvignon (which is also really good). It does have a kick to it, what with its flavors of vanilla and berries. You will definitely enjoy this wine if you already have a liking to bourbon.
Le Chevallier: Spanish Brut Cava sparkling wine ($6) – exclusive to Trader Joe’s, this bubbly is excellently priced for the quality that it has. Strong and sweet enough to avoid those terrible champagne hangovers, this cava sparkling wine is exactly what you need when eating a fruit basket or cheering to another wonderful milestone in life.
Nat makes a playlist that will make any oenophile groove to the music:
Red Red Wine – UB40
What’s My Name? (feat. Drake) – Rihanna
Strawberry Wine – Deanna Carter
Swimming Pools (Drank) – Kendrick Lamar
Scenes from an Italian Restaurant – Billy Joel
