Welcome to One Minute of Wine – a daily video series from Elma Wine & Liquor. Join Tim as he reviews a bottle of wine everyday in sixty seconds or less. Today Tim reviews Antiche Terre Amarone. Amarone is an Italian wine from the Valpolicella region, usually made from Corvina grapes. Amarone wines undergo a unique process of drying out the grapes for a few months before pressing the grapes. They become raisin like in appearance after the drying process. What this results in is more concentrated juice but less of it. Right off the bat are those raisin like aromas. Flavors of black cherry, rich, juicy fruit up front, but then the wine leads into a dry finish with hints of licorice. Cheers!
