The possibilities with a simple Italian marinara sauce are endless! They secret to this sauce truly is the San Marzano tomatoes. I would purchase fresh tomatoes if I could, but unfortunately you don’t get them here! The canned San Marzano type tomatoes will do just fine. I also like to add a touch of chili flakes for a hint of heat to the marinara sauce, but that’s completely up to you!
