Welcome to One Minute of Wine – a daily video series from Elma Wine & Liquor. Join Tim as he reviews a bottle of wine everyday in sixty seconds or less. Today Tim reviews Sassoregale Sangiovese. Sangiovese is an Italian red grape, in this case grown in Tuscany, but is commonly used in Chianti wines. With a lot of European wine names, the term “Chianti” is a reference to the area in which the wine is grown and not the type of grape used to make the wine. Dark, brickish color. A lot of cherry aromas. Tart red cherry flavors, some earthiness and some nice acidity. Good on its own, but much better when paired with a nice dish. Cheers!
