I am not going to let the COVID travel restrictions prevent me from getting over to Hungary to drink some Keknyelu. This is another underrated wine grape you need to know.
This grape yields wines that are similar is style to a German Riesling or even perhaps some of the whites from Alsace. Now, I have had a number of delightful white wines from Hungary based on the Furmint and Harslevelu grapes so branching out and trying another was not really a big risk. I’ll be looking for more of these in the future.
