As of November 25, 2020, New York State has violated employee and operator rights of restaurants and bars in the Orange and Red zones by prohibiting indoor dining.

These businesses have shown relentless commitment to doing their part in reducing the spread of Covid-19 through following various safety protocols over the last ten months. The latest round of prejudicial restrictions not only have little scientific backing but have already caused tens of thousands of layoffs across the State of New York and will most certainly lead to the shuttering of countless local establishments before winter’s end.

Our industry agrees to comply with sensible rules that help us do our part as businesses in controlling the spread of COVID-19, but demand the removal of discriminatory restrictions on our job-creating venues – restrictions that are destroying the local restaurant and bar industry. We demand a plan and the right to re-open.
