“홈술•홈파티엔 와인”…작년 수입 사상 최대치 경신
South Korea’s wine imports reached an all-time high last year,… as more people enjoyed drinking at home and threw more house parties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to data from the Korea Customs Service on Monday, South Korea imported nearly 39-thousand tons from January to November.
This is equal to nearly 240 million U.S. dollars worth of wine.
Wine import volumes have also more than doubled compared to ten years ago.
Wines from Chile, France, Italy, and the U.S. made up the largest portion of imports.
