Truffles are found all over Europe but many people still think they are exclusive to North Italy, France or Istria in Croatia. However, they can be found anywhere from Zagreb to Dalmatian coast, Albania, Serbia, Romania… to name just a few of the biggest exporters to Italy of highest quality truffles.
We took a trip to the countryside of Split, near Lećevica, to look for some truffles. December is not the best time of the year but there is always something to be found!
The location of Zmajevica is simply fantastic and will be making another video focusing more on mythical oaks and wells of the region.
