A simple step by step guide (for both beginners and pro’s) on how to cook a traditional Italian dish, usually enjoyed on New Year‘s Eve: cotechino (a kind of pork leg sausage) together with lentils and oven roasted rosemary potatoes. The lentils play an important role, because they represent coins, and the more you eat of them, the more money you are supposed to make in the New Year….
So the main meat dish includes also 2 side dishes, but no worries, it is rather simple to prepare, and we do like that, right?
You will learn:
1. how easy and basic the few steps are to prepare a very healthy and delicious dish that includes two side dishes.
2. the advantage of having a variety of fresh herbs available at home.
3. the importance of respecting the right timings
4. that high quality food can be prepared very easily and at amazingly low cost, by still using only high quality ingredients.
5. finally to become more independent from restaurants with homemade quality dishes (especially those many scam ones) – this is important in times of lockdowns, difficult access to groceries and closed restaurants!
To sum up: This dish has a low cost level, a medium difficulty level, and a high joy level!
