cut tubes (raw )into 1/4 rings rinse in cold water Dredged into a generous amount of flour, forming a light batter. Mixed with your hands . Over sized deep heavy duty high Pot , 1/3 to 1/2 filled with 25% blended olive oil (Bertolli)light for frying heat 350 degrees Carefully drop calamari in small portions into your oil , little at a time , fry till golden brown .Repeat same procedure.. you can use a electric fryer or vise or versa , please use caution ,do not over fill your oil and do not put more than a few hand fulls of squid at a time . Be careful and supervise this procedure with respect . It be very dangerous to over fill it can boil over and cause a fire … please be advised and use caution .
