Between the 14th and 16th of December 2019 I brought my wife to Turin, for our first time, to celebrate her birthday over a long weekend.
We absolutely loved the place and we can’t wait to come back as soon as we can.

On the morning of the 15th we walked from the hotel to the Valentine Park in order to visit the Medieval Village as our first stop of the day.
We really enjoyed this visit, however I do recommend not to walk all the way through as it does require significant time (the park itself is fairly big).

Upon arrival we bought the tickets for the guided tour of the castle and then we visited the shops within the village walls (only the castle tour requires a ticket; the village itself is free to wander)
I still had time for a quick drone flight before our slot for the tour so I managed to record this footage.

If you don’t know about this place I’m afraid to tell you that it isn’t original from the middle age but it has instead been built for the Italian General Exhibition of 1884.
The site offers a reconstruction of late medieval buildings and decorations carried out on the basis of strict philological criteria.

The castle was nice and it offered reconstruction of several fully furnished rooms like dormitories, kitchen, dining rooms, throne room, royal bedroom and even a chapel.

Once we finished our visit in the Medieval Village we rented a scooter and reached Square Vittorio Veneto where we continued our walking tour.
