Steak Pizzaiola is a delicious Italian beef dish in a flavorful (pizza maker) tomato sauce. Any cut of beef can be used. From real expensive prime ribeyes like Rao’s prepares, to sirloin, all the way to chuck, shoulder and top round. In this recipe, I use beef shoulder and braise it until it’s super tender.

Steak Pizzaiola Ingredients:
-2 pounds sirloin steak for a quick version, or tougher cuts for braising
-1 large bell pepper
-8 ounces white button mushrooms
-1 large onion
-8 cloves garlic
-1 28 ounce can plum tomatoes
-1/2 cup dry white wine
-1/2 cup low sodium beef stock
-1/4 cup olive oil
-1 tsp dried oregano
-1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
-1/2 tsp black pepper
-1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
