Bologna was our stop over on the way to Venice. We had less than a day here but I wanted to make the most of it, even though I was coming down with a cold!
We explored the beautiful Italian streets, graffiti embellished piazzas and old shops. We also made the most of the foodie offerings and I can highly recommend the pizza slices which are huge and cost less than £2! The famous Trattoria Ana Maria was recommended to us by our hotel and we loved it!
If you’re in the mood for coffee, any of the cafes along the piazza of San Stefano are a great bet. We could have stayed all day if we didn’t have a train to catch, which we were late for. As usual.
