Tensions rose between police forces and demonstrators in the heart of Rome on Friday night, as students and temporary workers took to the streets to protest against the latest government budget law.
Police officers tried to block their improvised march aimed at reaching Montecitorio and originated from the authorised initial gathering outside the Pantheon.
The protesters, then, headed towards Largo Argentina to reach the Ministry of Health, while holding flares and carrying banners and signs against the government.
