Hi, I am Katarina, but everyone calls me Kata.
I am a #wine writer, digital #marketing strategist for wineries, #translator, and live streamer. My writing focuses mainly on smaller producers and lesser-known wine areas and grape varieties. I was born in Ystad in the south of Sweden but I have lived in Florence for 20 years. I have a background in academia and a Ph.D. in history from EUs European University Institute in #Florence. Furthermore, I taught modern 3history at university for a couple of years. I am also a sommelier.

However, I also write for The Vintner Project and E The Magazine for Female Executives, and I have published articles on the blog of Common Deer Press.
I founded the WinesOfItaly LiveStream in 2015 which was then a weekly show but is now more seasonal. In 2020, in the era of Covid, I started the Digital Vino #Livestream series where the focus is on how wine and food can enter the digital era by interviewing people in both industries.
