In this video I discuss the Montepulciano wines. The wines are under the radar and wines that you need to be drinking. While you would not be wrong in thinking of these wines as a great option for Tuesday Pizza Night, they are much more.
Just in case you thought understanding Italian wine was not hard enough, please be sure you do no mistake a Montepulciano d’Abruzzo (wine named after the grape) as being similar to a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (wine named after the town). It is a very different experience as the Montepulciano grape differs from the wines made in the town of Montepulciano. We’ll cover that topic soon.
