Verona, Italy is a place well known for the world-famous love story of Romeo and Juliet but it is also suffering from people who incited hatred by following the Neo-Fascism.
One artist with a conscience took this matter into his hands. From childhood, Pier Paolo Spinazzè loved drawing, and he successfully graduated from art school and became a professional street artist fulfilling his dream.
But that isn’t the whole story. His hometown was filled with hate graffitis and he swore to do something about it.
In Italy what connects the people more than food. As an avid food lover himself, Spinazzè decided to draw colorful food murals on defaced walls and other places to promote peace and eliminate hatred.
Obviously, he faced a lot of troubles since neo-fascists saw it as a declaration of war and kept coming back to destroy his food paintings. But every time they damage his work, he takes it as a motivation to make his paintings bigger and more exciting.
