Search for:

Spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce. Better than any store-bought sauce and only takes 10 mins of effort. You can double the recipe and freeze it. Ideal for the times when you’re too lazy to cook.
Make sure to use wine that you drink. Usually I buy a bottle that I like and use it for the sauce (and pour myself a drink while cooking).

Ingredients:

For the Tomato sauce:
– 2 carrots
– 2 celery stalks
– 1 onion
– 2 cloves of garlic
– 1 sprig of thyme
– 2 bay leaves
– 1 tsp of chili flakes
– 1 Tbsp of tomato paste
– 1/4 cup of red wine (optional)
– 1 can of San Marzano tomatoes

For the pasta dish:
– 2 garlic cloves
– 6 basil leaves
