Ingredients:
1 lb. ground turkey (93% lean)
¼ onion, diced
1 large clove garlic, grated
1 cup marinara sauce
1 ¼ cup mozzarella cheese
Olive Oil
1 Tbsp taco seasoning mix
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp BBQ sauce

Directions:
Heat oil in a large saucepan set to medium high and sauté onions and garlic. After 3 minutes add the turkey and break up with a wooden spoon. Combine well and then let cook undisturbed for 5 minutes to caramelize the meat. After 5 minutes stir the spices along with the marinara. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer stirring occasionally for 15 minutes then add the brown sugar and BBQ sauce cooking for another 5 minutes until the mixture gets thick and flavorful.

To serve pour a generous amount of the turkey mixture on 1 slice of bread, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese top with second piece of bread.
