Molly-Mae Hague has been forced to apologise for causing offence after describing Italian food as ‘grim’ and ‘actually shocking’. The Love Island star had spent the past few days in Venice on holiday and gave her Instagram followers travel envy with stunning scenic photos. In one Instagram post, Molly-Mae said she had ‘fallen in love’ with the city but unfortunately the same couldn’t be said for the food. Not long after landing back in the UK, the 21-year-old wasted no time in heading to a restaurant to indulge in a hearty Sunday roast dinner. She then shared a photo of her holding up an ice cream in Italy and said: ‘I absolutely loved Venice but one thing I will say about Italy in general… The food is actually shocking. ‘So controversial I know but I’ve been a lot of times now to different parts and I’ve tried a lot of different restaurants and I’m always so disappointed.’ ‘It’s meant to be the home of pizza and pasta and I really can’t see how! Strange. Even this ice .
