I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for the crooners like Bing Crosby, Perry Como and Dean Martin. On this song, Dean Martin ventured into country music. He and Robert Mitchum both had crossover hits with it in 1967 and Merle Haggard released it in 1968. It’s a satirical take on an ad campaign by Italian Swiss Colony called “Little old winemaker me”. It’s fun to sing and a little more into my comfort zone than that last one.
