On this episode we have James Hamilton, son of vigneron David Hamilton.
Golden Child Wines is a collaboration between father and son; where all their wines come from the Hamilton family vineyard in the Southern Adelaide Hills, planted by David in 1997. James has made wine for over ten years at some of South Australia’s best known wineries including The Lane Vineyard and d’Arenberg. James uses mainly traditional winemaking techniques including selective hand picking to optimise fruit quality and natural yeast fermentation to best express the flavours of the family vineyard.
