Recipe: Corn Gnocchi with Marinara Sauce

Ingredients:

For Corn Gnocchi Dough:
Water – 1.5 Glass
Corn kernels – 1 Bowl
Boiled potato – 1 No. (Diced)
Makkai Flour (yellow color) – 1/2 Bowl
Chilli flakes – 1 Tsp
Oregano – 1 Tsp
Garlic paste – 1 Tsp
Salt – To taste

For Corn Gnocchi Balls:
Cornflour – 2 Tbsp
Water – 1.5 Glass (To boil Corn Gnocchi Balls)
Salt – 1 Tsp
Butter – 1 Tsp

Butter – 1 Tsp
Chilli flakes – 1 Tsp
Oregano – 1 Tsp

For Marinara Sauce:
Butter – 1 Tsp
Garlic – 3 Nos. (Chopped)
Capsicum – 1/2 No. (Chopped)
Tomato – 1/2 No. (Chopped)
Boiled corn kernels – 1/2 Bowl
Chilli flakes – 1/2 Tsp
Oregano – 1/2 Tsp
Salt – To taste
Malai (Fresh Cream) – 1/2 Bowl
Tomato sauce – 1 Tbsp

Process:

For Corn Gnocchi Dough:
1. In a vessel, take water, corn kernels and bring it to boil
2. Take it out in a strainer
3. Add it in a mixer jar and crush it to make paste
4. Take it out in a bowl, add boiled potato, makkai flour (yellow color), chilli flakes, oregano,
garlic paste, salt
5. Mix well and knead into a dough
6. Roll into long stripes, cut it into equal pieces and roll into balls
7. In a vessel, add water, salt, butter and bring it to boil
8. Roll Gnocchi balls into cornflour powder
9. When water is boiled add Gnocchi balls to it
10. Take out the ball when it comes up to the surface
11. Do it with rest of the balls

For Corn Gnocchi Balls:
12. In a kadhai, add butter, chilli flakes, oregano, Gnocchi balls and mix well
13. Cover and cook for a min
14. Corn Gnocchi balls are done
15. Switch off the gas and take it out in a plate

For Marinara Sauce:
16. In the same kadhai, add butter, garlic, capsicum, tomato, boiled corn kernels and mix well
17. Cover and cook for a min
18. Open lid, add chilli flakes, oregano, salt and mix well
19. Cover and cook for a min
20. Open the lid, add malai and mix well
21. Add tomato sauce and mix well
22. Add Gnocchi balls when sauce is done
23. Mix everything together
24. Switch off gas and cover with lid
