Filipino spaghetti, also known as sweet spaghetti,
is a Filipino adaptation of the Italian spaghetti with Bolognese sauce.
It has a distinctively sweet sauce, usually made from tomato sauce sweetened with brown sugar or banana ketchup.
It is typically topped with sliced hotdogs or smoked longganisa sausages, giniling (ground meat),
and grated cheese. It is regarded as a comfort food in Philippine cuisine.
It is typically served in almost any special occasion, especially on children’s birthdays.

How to Make Filipino Spaghetti with Canned Corned Beef

Ingredients:

1 package uncooked spaghetti
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 onion, peeled and chopped
3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
3 can corned beef
750 ml Italian spaghetti sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

In a pot over medium heat, cook spaghetti according to package directions for about 8 to 10 minutes or until AlDente Drain well and keep warm.

In a Sauce pot over medium heat, heat oil. Add onions and garlic and cook until softened.

Add corned beef and break into pieces with the back of a spoon.

Add spaghetti sauce and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes or until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

To serve, transfer spaghetti onto a serving platter, spoon sauce over pasta Serve hot.
