This is my staple sauce for many Italian food. I like to put some red wine in my sauce (preferably Cabernet Sauvignon) and mushroom. It is very easy to make and great to serve when you invite friends. I usually make more than enough to save and freeze and keep it for other dishes. It is great on spaghetti and in lasagna amongst other favorites Italian meals.
