Hyde Park inside Tampa has been popular since the early 1900s and is one of Florida’s prettiest neighborhoods.
If you have been to downtown Tampa, but never visited Hyde Park, you owe it to yourselves to take an hour and wander around Hyde Park Village.
Those who are planning on moving to Tampa and want an upscale, urban lifestyle, Hyde Park should definitely be on your home search list. Located in South Tampa, the neighborhood of Hyde Park is lined with homes built in the 1920s and 30s.
Well before cookie cutter style developments, there are no two homes alike. From historic homes like the 3 bedroom bungalows that make up a lot Hyde Park real estate, to the luxury homes along Bayshore Boulevard the homes are beautiful.
Awesome Hyde Park has easy access to multiple entertainment venues, museums, upscale diners and a ton of Tampa nightlife in the SoHo area. It is located a short drive from the best beaches in the country. Jumping on the Selmon Expressway, you can get you to anywhere in the Tampa Bay area in minutes.
Deciding on what to have for dinner is more difficult that finding the restaurant. From a quick burger at Goody Goody Burgers, or a fantastic Italian dinner at Timpano Italian Chophouse the choices are amazing. One of my favorite places is The Wine Exchange for dinner. You can’t beat Bartaco for a casual bite to eat. Try their margarita, you won’t be sorry!
Hyde Park is assigned to some of the highest ranking public schools like Gorrie Elementary, Woodrow Wilson Middle and Plant High School. The neighborhood also offers several private schools like St John’s Episcopal Parish Day School, The Academy of the Holy Names and Tampa Preparatory School.
Hyde Park is a truly one of the nicest neighborhoods in the Tampa Bay area.
