Join me every Sunday as I taste a wine, mead or ale and oftentimes pair it with a meal. This weeks selection is a 2014 Tenuta Frescobaldi Di Castiglioni red wine from Tuscany, Italy, $27.99 (on sale $21) I give it 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Matt & I prepared a rosa (marinara & alfredo) penne pasta to try with the wine.
This is a beautiful red wine from Italy. Upon opening the bottle (with real cork 😃) smells of cherry and oak wafted from the bottle arms length away. I immediately tasted that dark cherry, followed by a subtle oak, then smoke. The lingering is amazing.
