Ron and Bruce are back with our special guest, John McKenna. In this episode we put three modestly priced Tuscan wines to the test, a Super Tuscan, a Chianti Classico and a Rosso di Montalcino. One wasn’t up to par on a price/value scale but the other two we do recommend you try. Here are the wines we sampled:

2014 Berretta Maremma Toscanna at $18.30 CAD (for the 2018 vintage)
2017 Mazzei Ser Lapo Chianti Classico Riserva at $22.95
2019 Tenuta Friggiali Rosso di Montalcino at $24.95 CAD

Of note, the Berretta has a nice connection to Montreal and the Ser Lapo has a very nice surprise on the backside of the label.

Please excuse the sound quality. We experienced a couple technical glitches and promise to do better.

We hope you’ll take a second and drop a comment on some Tuscan wines that you like. We’re always looking to try new wines.

Next week we go white with our guest Brigitte Lenis.
