When I started learning wines from Marco Nannetti around 2010, he clearly told me that there are no important white wine in Italy. (Great red wines exsist though). I was curious at that time. However in this video he explains what he had wanted to say and hasn’t been changed yet. Although at the beginning I entered road of sommelier from California wines but after 10 years later, at this moment now, personally, I feel my stomach will no longer accept “too balique” wines, nor orange wines, no anfora wines…etc.etc. I much prefer whisky/scotch if I want to feel balique. From wines we wanna more freshness of fruits, acidity, freshness, and maybe “minerality” (Although Marco denied in this video though) Over all I understand his love against Italian wine industry to cheer&bottom up with very spicy reputations. Strategy is core issue in which category/genre we fight.
