Today, we are going to make something easy peasy and yet delicious: la crostata di marmellata (a jam tart). This traditional cake can be served for breakfast, as a snack or as a tasty dessert topped by whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream or simply a sprinkle of icing sugar.

INGREDIENTS
1 egg and 1 yolk
80gr of sugar
80gr of butter
200gr of flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1/2 lemon zest
1 jar of jam of your choice
PREPARATION
Beat the eggs. Add the sugar, the softened butter, the flour, the lemon zest and the baking powder.
Place the dough on a table and start working it with your hands while gradually adding flour until the dough is no longer sticky. Wrap it in plastic film and store it in the fridge for 30 minutes hours.
Pull it out of the fridge and roll it by using a parchment paper. Place the rolled though on a baking pan. Cut the edges. Fill with jam and cover the top with strips of left over dough.
Cook in the oven at 180C (350F) for 30-35 minutes.
