In this week’s Averys at home wine tasting, I’ll be exploring the wonderful wines of Northern Italy.
We decided there were far too many delicious wines to try and squeeze Italy into one video. So I’ll be looking at Northern Italy this week and Louise will follow up with Central and Southern Italy next week.
Week 9: Wines of Northern Italy
With a myriad of different native grape varieties, Italy is one of the most exciting wine countries in the world but also one of the most complicated. So to help make it a bit simpler, I’ll be looking at the key regions of the north and the different wines that are made there.
You’ll find out more about some of Italy’s most famous wines, like Barolo and Valpolicella, but also some of Northern Italy’s hidden gems.
