A few days after Vinitaly USA New York, Vinitaly International took part for the first time in the FMI Connect 2015, to be held in Chicago from the 8th to the 11th of June.
The event promises to be a unique opportunity to promote Italian wine directly in the United States.
Vinitaly International, along with its educational project, Vinitaly International Academy, contributed to the event with a series educational sessions held by famous wine expert, Doctor Ian D’Agata and aimed at offering attendees an overview of some top Italian wines already present on the US Market.
Throughout the entire event, a Wine-Bar will offer trade professionals each day the opportunity to taste and enjoy some top Italian wines produced with famous Italian native grapes such as Barbera and Dolcetto.
FMI Connect 2015 is part of a project of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and is aimed at developing the Italian agro-industrial sector through the involvement of three major Italian fair stakeholders: Fiere di Parma, Fiera di Milano and Veronafiere.
The involvement in FMI Connect represents a unique opportunity in the face of the steady growth of Italian food export to the US, especially with regards to large-scale distribution channels. The common goal is, therefore, to increase the inflow of Italian products on the shelves of the large American retailers, while simultaneously consolidating already-known brands and products.
