This homemade healthy focaccia bread recipe is super easy to make! It has a perfect texture and it is tasteful with flavors of rosemary, oregano, olive oil, and sea salt which makes it totally irresistible. Serve it warm with cheese and wine.

Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1.5 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 cup warm water
3+1 tbsp olive oil

For the toppings:
1/2 cup bell peppers sliced
1 tbsp seasonings/herbs (oregano, basil, rosemary)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste

Method:
โ€ขAdd dry yeast, sugar in warm water and keep it aside for 5-10 minutes until yeast becomes frothy.
โ€ขIn a large bowl, add flour, salt, 3 tbsp olive oil and combine these ingredients together.
โ€ขTo this, add yeast mixture and knead it for 10 minutes or until it becomes into a soft dough. Gradually add 1 tbsp olive oil while kneading.
โ€ขNow, dust some flour on the surface and again knead the dough for few minutes.
โ€ขTuck & keep the dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a muslin cloth or a cling wrap and keep it aside in a warm place for an hour or until the dough doubles in size.
โ€ขTake a baking dish, grease it with olive oil.
โ€ขFlatten the dough on the surface and knock out the air by kneading for a minute.
โ€ขThen, transfer it into the dish and spread it with your hands to get an even layer.
โ€ขMake dimples on the flattened dough and drizzle olive oil on it. Cover it again with a muslin cloth or a cling wrap and keep it in a warm place for 30 minutes.
โ€ขPre-heat oven at 200โ€™C for 15 minutes.
โ€ขOnce dough is risen, drizzle olive oil, garnish some bell peppers, sprinkle rosemary, salt and pepper.
โ€ขBake it for 20-25 minutes or until it turns golden brown at 200โ€™C.
โ€ขLet it cool completely before serving.

Serve it warm with cheese and wine.
