This homemade healthy focaccia bread recipe is super easy to make! It has a perfect texture and it is tasteful with flavors of rosemary, oregano, olive oil, and sea salt which makes it totally irresistible. Serve it warm with cheese and wine.

Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1.5 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 cup warm water
3+1 tbsp olive oil

For the toppings:
1/2 cup bell peppers sliced
1 tbsp seasonings/herbs (oregano, basil, rosemary)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste

Method:
•Add dry yeast, sugar in warm water and keep it aside for 5-10 minutes until yeast becomes frothy.
•In a large bowl, add flour, salt, 3 tbsp olive oil and combine these ingredients together.
•To this, add yeast mixture and knead it for 10 minutes or until it becomes into a soft dough. Gradually add 1 tbsp olive oil while kneading.
•Now, dust some flour on the surface and again knead the dough for few minutes.
•Tuck & keep the dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a muslin cloth or a cling wrap and keep it aside in a warm place for an hour or until the dough doubles in size.
•Take a baking dish, grease it with olive oil.
•Flatten the dough on the surface and knock out the air by kneading for a minute.
•Then, transfer it into the dish and spread it with your hands to get an even layer.
•Make dimples on the flattened dough and drizzle olive oil on it. Cover it again with a muslin cloth or a cling wrap and keep it in a warm place for 30 minutes.
•Pre-heat oven at 200’C for 15 minutes.
•Once dough is risen, drizzle olive oil, garnish some bell peppers, sprinkle rosemary, salt and pepper.
•Bake it for 20-25 minutes or until it turns golden brown at 200’C.
•Let it cool completely before serving.

Serve it warm with cheese and wine.
