It was our first time in Venice and we made sure to make it a special one. We spent four days exploring the city, but also ventured out to Burano. Itβs safe to say that Venice has completely changed to cater to tourists with the ever popular gondola rides as well as plenty of stores for souvenirs.
We found ourselves very happy trying out different Italian foods like Pizza, Pasta and of course Gelato. We even joined a walking tour that was a complete fail. We wanted to love it and wanted to learn more about Italy, but it just wasnβt something we enjoyed.
We highly recommend making your way to either Murano or Burano so you can see the smaller Italian islands which are just as interesting. On this trip, we visited Burano which is iconic for the colorful buildings as well as lace. We really enjoyed our little excursion and even had the opportunity to try some food, which was unfortunately pretty disappointing.
While we were in Venice, we always made sure that we woke up super early to beat the crowds. Itβs also a very special experience physically being in all of the historical buildings all alone. It is how we were able to get the shots with practically no tourists in them.
Venice is all about love. Itβs Amore!

We started our trip back in April 2, 2019 from New York City. We quit our 9-6 jobs, sold all of our belongings, and began traveling full time. We left our jobs because we were unable to be with family and enjoy life. Work was taking up too much time and something had to change. We saved up for 2 years and began traveling as soon as we found a deal that would take us around the world for just $285.00. We started this #travelvlog to share our adventures with friends and family. At the one year mark, we realized that we had only scratched the surface and there was still so much to see. We are so fortunate to be doing this every day. We hope you enjoy our content and will subscribe to our adventures.
